About the FAIR Justice Program at Tetra Tech

Tetra Tech International Development is seeking a locally engaged Communications and Engagement Officer to develop and implement the Communications Strategy for The Fostering Advancement of Inclusive, Rights Based (FAIR) Justice Program. This program aims to advance Australia and Philippines’ shared commitment to the rule of law, rights-based justice, and strong and accountable institutions, crucial for stability, security, and prosperity in the Philippines and Indo-Pacific region. Building on longstanding cooperation, the Program will strengthen the broader justice system and ensure synergy with DFAT’s investments in promoting rights-based justice, countering terrorism, combating human trafficking, protecting children, and other donor initiatives.

The Opportunity for a Communications and Engagement Officer

This full-time, one-year contract position is reserved for a Philippines National and offers a flexible working arrangement in Manila. The Communications and Engagement Officer will be pivotal in shaping the FAIR Justice Program's public image and outreach. You will work closely with the Team Leader and the DFAT communications team, designing and disseminating all promotional and communication materials, including both print and digital media content.

Key Responsibilities of the Communications and Engagement Officer

• Design and maintain a comprehensive communications strategic plan.
• Coordinate the production of high-quality internal and external communication and design materials.
• Collaborate effectively with DFAT to support the successful delivery of various communications products and events.
• Manage key public diplomacy events to enhance program visibility and impact.
• Develop and actively maintain the FAIR Justice website and all associated social media content.
• Create and manage a robust communications calendar for the timely dissemination of knowledge products.
• Develop a comprehensive visibility strategy to proactively identify and manage potential political and reputational risks related to program activities.

Selection Criteria for the Communications and Engagement Officer

• Tertiary qualifications in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in successfully delivering project and public relations activities within the Philippines, with a preference for DFAT-funded programs.
• Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality publications and diverse media products.
• Proven expertise in managing media and communications within dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• A steadfast commitment to gender equality, disability inclusion, social inclusion, and safeguarding on programs.
• Excellent command of both written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional ability to plan, draft, edit, and proof-read information to meet high publication standards.
