Job Summary: Service Engineer
As a Service Engineer at Tetra Pak, you will be an expert in supporting our customers with the maintenance, installation, and commissioning of our processing equipment. While part of a team, most of your time will be spent directly at customer sites, requiring significant independent work, remote operation, and extensive travel. Our main office is in Bucharest, Romania, but ideally, candidates are located in the western part of Romania (e.g., Timisoara, Alba Iulia, Lugoj, Caransebes) to be closer to customer locations. This role involves approximately 80% travel by car to customer sites. Career migration is not supported.
What You Will Do
- Install, commission, and maintain Tetra Pak processing equipment at customer sites, including preparing for installations.
- Execute preventive maintenance activities in adherence to global Tetra Pak standard procedures.
- Work with complex equipment and apply the latest automation technology at customer locations.
- Ensure Tetra Pak quality standards are met to guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Escalate all discovered food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory issues promptly.
- Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak, always working in accordance with Tetra Pak and customer safety regulations.
We Believe You Have
- Technical education in mechanical engineering with fundamental electrical skills.
- Automation and process-related studies are a beneficial plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in maintenance and/or service work.
- Proficiency in automation skills, including PLCs and industrial software knowledge.
- Fluency in Romanian and solid proficiency in English.
- A valid driving license, as you will travel 80% of the time by car, both domestically and internationally.
