About the Role

The Senior Compliance Specialist will lead the implementation and monitoring of Tether's compliance framework across key regulatory domains. This role focuses on embedding a culture of integrity, managing cross-border compliance risks, and ensuring adherence to global regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Oversight: Maintain policies and controls for conduct risk, anti-bribery, conflicts of interest, fraud, data protection, market abuse, and outsourcing.
  • Advisory: Advise management on ethical practices and third-party risk compliance.
  • Monitoring & Assurance: Conduct risk assessments, thematic reviews, and control testing.
  • Incident Management: Oversee investigations and remediation for regulatory breaches.
  • Training & Culture: Deliver conduct risk and ethics training across all business units.
  • Governance & Reporting: Prepare Board and regulator reports on compliance findings.
  • Regulatory Change Management: Monitor and implement new regulations and ethical standards.
  • Mentorship: Supervise junior compliance staff to ensure consistent application of controls.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years' experience in regulatory compliance or related fields.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ICA, CFE, CAFS, CCAS, CCEP-I, CIPP/E, CFCS).
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
