What Your Day Would Look Like

  • Lead a high-performing team focused on Platform work management capabilities (e.g., Tests, Issues, Tasks, Runs), designing and delivering AI-powered features and systems that directly impact users and drive business outcomes.
  • Enforce operational discipline by ensuring all work is properly labeled/traced, and the Definition of Done (DoD) is strictly followed to minimize escaped defects.
  • Drive Scrum rituals, backlog prioritization, and technical design reviews to balance rapid iteration with long-term scalability.
  • Lead and manage multiple projects tied to the core product and contribute to the product's growth.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to translate complex problems into actionable, impactful engineering work, owning the solution from concept to deployment.
  • Champion a culture of observability by defining service level objectives (SLOs), building dashboards to monitor performance (e.g., DB query speeds, error rates), and leading root-cause analysis for any production issues.
  • Manage the operational efficiency of your team’s services, including monitoring cloud costs and ensuring infrastructure resources are optimized.
  • Coach engineers to grow both their technical skills and their product-thinking mindset, with a strong focus on adopting AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) to improve developer experience.
  • Leverage metrics and data-driven insights to inform key decisions and optimize team performance.
  • Champion continuous learning through code reviews, cross-training, and documentation practices that eliminate knowledge silos and support team resilience.

What You Need to Succeed: Technical Skills

  • A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in leading & motivating a team of 5+ software engineers, fostering a positive and productive work environment, using agile methodologies.
  • 5-10 years of full-stack coding experience, building performant, scalable, and modern cloud-native applications.
  • Strong affinity with Testlio's tech stack, including TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, Kafka, React, and GraphQL.
  • Experience with observability/APM tools (e.g., NewRelic, Datadog, Sentry) to visualize system health and optimize slow database transactions.
  • Knowledge of application security best practices and experience integrating security reviews into the SDLC.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and a mindset for optimizing Developer Experience.
  • Prior experience managing a SaaS product is a plus.
