About the role
Test Engineer, Vehicle
We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our Manufacturing Test team, responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive test programs for electric vehicle high/low voltage distribution components and subsystems. The successful candidate will collaborate with a large cross-section of engineering teams, including Design, Development, and Manufacturing, to ensure the design and production of high-quality products. This is an individual contributor role with high internal visibility, requiring extensive work on developing full functional tests, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and implement test programs for electric vehicle high/low voltage distribution components and subsystems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, including Design, Development, and Manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of test programs and resolve design or production issues.
- Perform root cause analysis on failed components or subsystems to identify and address underlying design or production issues.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent future failures, in collaboration with relevant engineering teams.
- Develop and maintain automated tests using programming languages such as Go Lang and Python, to ensure efficient and reliable testing of components and subsystems.
- Utilize Docker containers to deploy and manage test environments, ensuring consistency and reproducibility of test results.
- Manage and maintain test code repositories using GitHub, ensuring version control and collaboration with other team members.
- Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to relevant engineering teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain test equipment and fixtures to support test program development and execution.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize test programs, reduce test time, and improve overall product quality.
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong demonstrable experience in Power Electronics/power converter circuits for energy storage/automotive applications.
- Electrical/Electronic design experience a strong plus.
- Strong demonstrable hands-on experience with electrical test equipment: Power Supplies, Multimeter, Oscilloscopes, and other common equipment.
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks and programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, C++, etc.). Experience with test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and data acquisition systems.
- Manage and maintain test code repositories using GitHub, ensuring version control and collaboration with other team members.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address complex technical issues.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.

Expected Compensation
$88,000 - $198,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits.
