- Proactively monitor live system metrics, respond promptly to alerts, and efficiently troubleshoot any production issues that arise.
- Investigate and thoroughly understand existing system technical functionality, proposing and implementing valuable technical improvements.
- Communicate changes in project estimates, dependencies, and potential blockers quickly and clearly with all affected stakeholders.
- Work hands-on with cutting-edge technologies such as React, JavaScript, Python, Node.js, MySQL, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Redis, GraphQL, Docker, and Kubernetes to build robust, scalable systems that can handle Tesla's global scale.
What You'll Bring
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, demonstrable exceptional skills in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of related practical experience in software engineering, with a proven track record in full stack development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES5/6), HTML, CSS, and the React framework for building intuitive and highly responsive frontend interfaces.
- Extensive experience with microservices or service-oriented architecture.
- Expertise with various databases, including MySQL for structured data management and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch for efficient search, indexing, and analytics capabilities.
- Demonstrated good unit testing and integration testing practices.
- A flexible and motivated self-starter attitude with excellent communication skills, a positive outlook, and a strong desire to continuously improve efficiency and scalability.
- Proven experience writing high-quality code in programming languages like JavaScript, Python, or Go.
- Familiarity with AI integration, specifically including LLMs for tasks like generating pricing insights and agentic AI workflows for creating adaptive user experiences.
- Prior experience in the automotive, energy, or ride-hailing industries is preferred, demonstrating relevant domain knowledge.
