We're looking for a Machine Learning Intern, Generative AI - HR Applications to build AI-powered tools that transform how HR works at Tesla. You'll work independently on high-impact projects, move fast, and see your code in production—used by thousands of employees across the company.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and ship AI-powered software solving real HR problems with measurable impact
- Extend existing systems with modern LLM capabilities to solve complex business problems
- Own your solution from idea to deployment
- Work with HR partners, data engineers, and recruiting teams to understand problems and build solutions
- Apply software engineering best practices including version control, CI/CD, and containerization
- Contribute to team knowledge sharing on AI tools and techniques
What You'll Bring
- Proven ability to build and ship production applications quickly; we value builders who take an idea to deployment independently
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with a bias for action
- Hands-on experience with modern LLMs and the ability to rapidly prototype AI solutions
- Genuine curiosity about AI; you actively experiment with new models and tools as they release and can speak to what's working and what's hype
- Strong business intuition to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities
- Excellent English, German is a plus
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus
- Experience with web development stacks (TypeScript, React) is a big plus
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL is a plus
