Job Description
IT Datacenter Asset Management Administrator - Tesla
Tesla is seeking a motivated IT Datacenter Asset Management Administrator for its onsite team at Gigafactory Austin. This role supports Datacenter Operations by optimizing IT asset utilization and managing the asset lifecycle. You will collaborate with team members and IT staff in a large-scale, fast-paced corporate environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide prompt hardware support to reduce downtime and improve end-user satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the IT support team to resolve escalated hardware issues efficiently.
- Ensure operational continuity to prevent service delays.
- Coordinate logistics to ensure timely hardware availability for projects.
- Work with procurement teams to track requisitions and verify equipment orders.
- Prepare, label, and configure IT assets for deployment.
- Conduct periodic audits to identify outdated or underutilized assets.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the asset management database.
- Address asset-related tickets, including replacements, upgrades, and transfers.
- Track asset ownership and location to ensure accountability.
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of Asset Management experience required.
- 3+ years of experience working within a datacenter environment required.
- 3+ years of experience in an IT Operations role required.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics required.
- Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, work independently under pressure, prioritize, and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and process discipline.
- Experience with IT Ticketing and Asset Management applications like ServiceNow ITSM, BMC Remedy ITSM or other similar products preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong ability to analyze data with in-depth knowledge of IT asset lifecycle.
