This is a 6-month internship position based in Taichung, requiring availability at least 3 days per week. The role involves supporting on-site spare parts and materials management for client operations.Responsibilities
- Support on-site spare parts/materials management for client operations, including receiving, labeling, warehousing, issuing/returning materials, and conducting regular or cycle inventory checks.
- Maintain inventory and transaction records using system tools or Excel and prepare and send routine reports to internal teams.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound material shipments (ship-in/ship-out), handle related documentation, track shipment status, and resolve exceptions.
- Assist in arranging import/export logistics, ensuring all documents comply with client or site requirements.
- Establish and maintain material ordering and tracking mechanisms as needed, follow up on delivery timelines, and keep relevant stakeholders updated.
- Collaborate with field engineers to verify part numbers and usage records, support data accuracy; assist in warehouse 5S and inventory (PI) activities when required.
- Support cross-functional tasks and administrative documentation, such as assistance with site access passes or temporary permits and document processing.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program (junior year or above) or a master’s program, majoring in engineering (industrial, mechanical, electrical, electronic), logistics/supply chain, business administration, or a related field.
- Interest in client-site operations, materials handling, inventory management, on-site service logistics, or procurement fundamentals; willingness to support at client factory sites.
- Proficient in basic Excel functions (sorting/filtering); skills in VLOOKUP/SUMIFS are preferred. Must be detail-oriented and committed to data accuracy.
- Familiarity with inbound/outbound coordination and tracking processes; willingness to learn ERP/inventory systems (experience with Oracle/WMS is a plus).
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and spoken), with understanding of professional email etiquette.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to perform reliably under time pressure. Demonstrates problem-solving mindset and follows tasks through to completion.
- Quick response, team-oriented, and capable of collaborating effectively with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders (clients, field service, supply chain/logistics).
