Job Description
Web Technology Lead
We are seeking an experienced Web Technology Lead to drive the end-to-end delivery of modern, high-performing web applications. In this role, you will partner closely with UX, Design, QA, and business stakeholders to build scalable, cross-platform solutions while translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.
This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who thrives in designing, building, and guiding robust web and microservices architectures in a cloud-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and development of scalable, cross-platform web applications and backend/microservices solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Create solution designs, proof of concepts (POCs), technical documentation, and lead design reviews
- Estimate technical options, recommend appropriate technologies, and design integrated systems
- Analyze business and technical requirements to drive implementation
- Evaluate existing systems and services for reuse and optimization
- Maintain high code quality through modular design patterns, reusable components, and strong self-QA practices
- Stay current with emerging web technologies and industry best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in modern web application development
- 7+ years of experience integrating web services (REST/SOAP; JSON/XML) within microservices architectures
- 6+ years of JavaScript experience with at least one modern framework (AngularJS preferred)
- Experience with asynchronous data handling, state management, templates, and dynamic views
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
- Familiarity with web servers such as Apache
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles
- Server-side development experience (Node.js and/or Spring Boot)
- Cloud experience with Azure or AWS
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tooling (GitHub, Bamboo, SonarQube)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Azure web services and database experience
- Experience with Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) microservices frameworks
- Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience
- Agile delivery experience
- Java experience and familiarity with testing tools such as JUnit, SOAPUI, Postman, and JMeter
