Job Summary

The Vehicle Dynamics Engineer is part of the Global Engineering R&D team at Tenneco Ride Performance, responsible for defining and achieving vehicle performance targets in suspension systems developments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support R&D advanced product engineering team in defining vehicle dynamics targets and system architecture.
  • Lead in setting key product performance criteria for ride comfort and handling.
  • Create methodologies and definitions for objective performance criteria.
  • Support new technology developments in both hardware and software.
  • Perform subjective and objective vehicle performance evaluations and measurements.
  • Act as the point of reference for vehicle dynamics related performance issues.
  • Define system architecture to ensure optimal product integration onto vehicles.
  • Support benchmarking and simulation activities to align product and vehicle performance.

Qualifications

  • Master degree in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical fields.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in vehicle dynamics & simulation in automotive industry.
  • Experience in car manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Proficient analytical, problem solving skills and process orientation.
  • Experience with Carsim, Carmaker, Adams, Sim-pack, LMS Imagine.Lab, Matlab/Simulink is a plus.
  • Ability to travel (above 60%) and fluent in English.
