Backend Development Intern at Tencent

Tencent is seeking a motivated Backend Development Intern to join our platform department. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the optimization of advertising system modules and enhance monetization efficiency for overseas advertising alliances.

What The Role Entails

• Collaborate with the platform department to optimize all-link modules of the advertising system, such as display, ranking & retrieval, and improve monetization efficiency of traffic from overseas advertising alliances.
• Manage and maintain the infrastructure of AWS, including server deployment, configuration, and expansion (e.g., K8S, RDS, Redis, Kafka, MongoDB).
• Be responsible for technical operations such as architecture optimization, cost optimization, and high-availability operation and maintenance to ensure the security and stability of the production system.

Who We Look For

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or related majors.
• In-depth understanding of the Linux system and operation and maintenance architecture.
• Proficiency in capacity planning, architecture design, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in mastering one or more scripting languages (e.g., shell, Python).
• Strong coding capabilities and knowledge in using Tencent Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, or AWS.
• Familiarity with big data storage and computing technologies (Spark/Hadoop/Kafka).
• Prior internship experience in architecture design and development of large-scale internet systems (advertising, recommendation, search).
• Excellent team cooperation skills, strong initiative, driving force, and problem analysis/solving abilities.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin for effective collaboration with international stakeholders and HQ-based teams.
