Job Description
The Sales Manager at Temecula Creek Inn represents the hotel in negotiations with group clients and meeting planners. This role involves researching, identifying, and targeting both new and repeat group customers, ensuring complete satisfaction for all contracted events.
Essential Duties
- Manage all aspects of sales in a designated geographical market segment.
- Prepare, present, and negotiate group contract proposals including room availability, meeting space, and special concessions.
- Conduct site inspections with potential and current clients, including dining experiences.
- Research and target new markets and potential clients to generate sales.
- Build and promote professional client and industry relationships.
- Travel regularly to target cities and participate in industry events.
- Design and implement territorial sales action plans and promotional campaigns.
- Maintain excellent customer service and document all sales interactions.
- Adhere to company policies, safety practices, and complete regular sales reports.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing, Hotel Management, or equivalent experience is required along with 3-5 years experience in group sales in a comparable hotel. Applicants must be computer literate, proficient in Word and Delphi, and possess a valid California driver's license with proper insurance coverage.
Physical Demands
The role involves extensive desk work, frequent phone usage, computer work, and travel (six to eight weeks per year). Flexibility to work long and sometimes irregular hours is needed.
