About the O&P Operations Team

The O&P Operations (O&P Ops) team is a key pillar of the O&P function, playing a vital role to ensure compliance with global employment regulations. Collaborating strongly within Temasek and with service providers, we are responsible for critical HR service delivery in payroll, employee tax, employee life cycle, compliance and people technology. The O&P Ops team actively identifies opportunities for process optimisation and automation, to drive for continuous improvement and execution excellence.

The Role: Data Analytics/Science Intern, People Technology

As a Data Analytics/Science Intern, People Technology, you will be a member of the Group People Technology team to roll out Digital solutions such as RPA, Power Automate, SaaS solutions, dashboards/analytics, and to drive technology transformation within the Organisation & People function. Outstanding final year students may receive a contract job offer.

Responsibilities

Data Analyst Focus:

  • Build new AI/ML use cases to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Use data analytics to explore, innovate, and provide insights.
  • Manage data ingestion into the Data lake.
  • Participate in Data Governance, tracking and monitoring data quality, and maintaining the Data dictionary.
  • Research and use data to support the design and streamlining of HR processes.
  • Support Reporting & Analytics Management, regulatory reporting, dashboards, and HR data analytics.

Business Analyst Focus:

  • Participate in requirement gathering and testing during system implementation and deployment.
  • Build new RPA and Power Automate use cases for process efficiency.

Competencies You Will Gain

  • Working knowledge of a SaaS SAP SuccessFactors human capital management system.
  • Experience of working in Agile delivery.
  • Experience in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Power Automate.
  • Experience in working with SaaS data clouds such as Snowflakes.
  • Knowledge in driving process alignment, eliciting user requirements, process documentation, testing, and deployment of SaaS HRMS and other HR related systems.

Requirements

  • Good analytical skills, detail-oriented, and experience in maintaining and updating databases, working with extensive datasets.
  • Currently pursuing a degree or major in Computer Science, Data Science, or similar discipline.
  • Proficiency in IT skills including Python, R, Excel VBA, and SQL; conversant with the use of search engines and databases, and web scraping.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Meticulous and diligent in creating, maintaining, and updating reports and dashboards on a timely basis.
  • Strong coordination and organization skills.
  • Highly professional and discreet, able to maintain confidentiality on projects and HR information.

  • A team player with a pleasant disposition.
  • Ability to work well with people within and outside the team, and across the organizational hierarchy.
  • Willing to lend a hand in helping fellow teammates where required.
  • A self-starter with the ability to multi-task.

  • Diligent and takes ownership of the team’s projects and responsibilities.
