Overview

Join the TELUS team as a Technical Product Manager. In this role, you will be part of a product management team that is building the TELUS SmartHome+ Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to simplify, unify, and transform the smart living experience for customers globally.

What You’ll Do

As a Back-end Product Owner embedded within an Agile development squad, you will:

  • Collaborate with Feature Owners, Software Development Managers, Technical Leads, and Engineers.
  • Set sprint goals and define high-value problems for resolution.
  • Break down features into Epics and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Build, prioritize, and manage the squad’s backlog.
  • Map dependencies and plan sprints in coordination with engineering leads.
  • Define and measure performance against KPIs for various initiatives.

Qualifications

You should have 3+ years of experience in product management or development using Agile methodologies, a strong technical background, and a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams. A customer-first mindset and excellent storytelling skills are essential.

Great-to-Haves

  • Experience in B2B, B2C or B2B2C environments.
  • Global or multi-market product management experience.
  • Strategic understanding of smart home and IoT technologies.
  • Expertise in areas such as authentication, AI/ML, rules engines, and IoT device life cycle management.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science, MBA is an asset.
