Qualification Process
No prior professional experience is required for this role. However, successful candidates must meet basic requirements and pass a standard assessment process. This is a part-time, long-term project, and your work will undergo standard quality assurance checks throughout the agreement term.
Basic Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English as a freelancer.
- Residency in the United States for the past 3 consecutive years.
- Familiarity with current and historical business, media, sport, news, social media, and cultural affairs in the US.
- Active use of Gmail and other social media platforms.
- Experience using web browsers to navigate and interact with diverse content.
- Daily access to a broadband internet connection, a smartphone (Android 5.0, iOS 14 or higher), and a personal computer for work.
Assessment Details
To be hired, you will complete a language assessment and an open-book qualification exam designed to determine your suitability. ID verification will also be required. TELUS Digital will provide comprehensive guidelines and learning materials before your exam. You will need to complete the exam within a specified timeframe, at your convenience.
