About the role
About the Role
We’re looking for an Android Developer to join Telia Play within Tech Pay TV. This is an opportunity to grow with a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on shaping the future of entertainment. You will be instrumental in building high-performing Android experiences used by millions across the Nordics, with a strong focus on Android TV.
What You'll Do
- Develop, enhance, and maintain the Telia Play application for Android devices, emphasizing Android TV.
- Design and optimize applications for performance, scalability, automation, and smooth release flows.
- Collaborate within a cross-functional team, working with designers and backend developers to implement modern architectural patterns and coding standards.
- Build using a modern Kotlin-based tech stack including Jetpack Compose, our design system, Firebase, and GraphQL.
- Create exceptional user experiences that delight and engage our customers.
What Will Help You Thrive
- Strong experience in building scalable, high-quality applications for Android TV platforms.
- Solid proficiency in Kotlin and Compose, with proven ability in advanced architectural patterns and performance optimization.
- Eagerness to drive automation and shape a smooth release process, ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Experience with GraphQL and adaptive streaming protocols (DASH, HLS) is a plus.
- Skilled in managing Git workflows, ensuring code quality, and maintaining high test coverage.
