About the Role as DevOps Consultant at Telia Cygate

Do you want to work with designing and implementing modern Hybrid Cloud Solutions? Then I would like to get to know you!

I am Torbjörn Engman and responsible for our fantastic consultant team within Hybrid-IT & Cloud. We are growing and looking for a colleague who wants to join us on our journey.

What you will do in the role:

As a consultant with us, you have an important role in guiding our customers, all the way from proposing suitable solutions, to design, implementation, and management. You will work with container-based solutions (e.g., Kubernetes), observability: monitoring, log management, and proactive troubleshooting in our own and our customers' environments.

Our customer deliveries often span several technical areas, so you will work together with colleagues specialized in other fields. This, combined with our strong focus on continuous skills development, means you will be able to take big steps in your personal development.

Examples of work tasks:

• Drive operational assignments, e.g., lifecycle management of functionality (both hardware and software), developing the next version/generation of technical solutions.
• Ensure functionality works in connection with new hardware and software.
• Participate in development assignments and contribute expertise in the area to transform new needs into technical solutions.

To succeed in the role:

As a person, you show a genuine interest in working with our customers and helping them with their challenges in the area. You are a driven person with a great interest in developing yourself and others around you.

We are looking for you who have:

• At least a few years of current work experience in development, configuration, administration, and/or operation of Linux-based systems on-prem and/or SaaS.
• At least a couple of years of current experience using DevOps methods.
• Basic understanding of network concepts and security.
• Experience in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Docker: Building, managing, and optimizing container images and running containers.
• Kubernetes (K8s): Expertise in designing, deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters.
• Knowledge of GitOps methodology.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Fluent Swedish and English, in speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you have knowledge and certifications in:

• OpenShift
• Tanzu/VKS
• Vmware CKA/CKS
