About the Telekom HU Security Operations Center (SOC)

We established Magyar Telekom's Security Operations Center (SOC) to provide comprehensive security solutions to our clients, beyond our classic security system integration services. The team's goal is to continuously monitor the security status of client systems and analyze events. Our Level 1 colleagues are on standby in shifts, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Your Responsibilities as a SOC L1 Analyst

  • You will receive alerts from monitored systems and reports from clients, then categorize cases by severity.
  • First, you need to decide whether it is truly a security incident or a system error that falls within the operations team's scope.
  • If you indeed detect signs of an incident, you will then classify the case. This determines the urgency and method of investigation.
  • If necessary, you will escalate the case to Level 2.
  • You will prepare incident descriptions and reports.

We're Looking for Candidates Who Have

  • Secondary education
  • Basic network knowledge
  • Basic IT knowledge (OS, web servers…)
  • Basic security knowledge
  • Are rule-abiding and comfortable with repetitive tasks
  • Administer accurately and precisely
  • At least basic English language knowledge, but knowledge of technical terminology is required
  • Can commit to shift work: 2x12 hours day shift, 3 rest days, 2x12 hours night shift schedule.
