Privacy Compliance Analyst
A major U.S. financial institution, contracted via TEKsystems, is seeking a Privacy Compliance Analyst to serve as a Regulatory Compliance Subject Matter Expert within the First Line of Defense (FLoD). This crucial remote role provides regulatory guidance on privacy requirements, supports control reviews, and partners with business leaders to ensure adherence to federal, state, and technology supervisory expectations, including GDPR, CCPA, GLBA, and NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500.
This position is ideal for candidates possessing strong privacy compliance expertise, auto lending regulatory experience, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse business units in a fast-paced environment.
Must-Have Skills & Requirements
- Regulatory Compliance subject matter expertise within the First Line of Business.
- Strong working knowledge of key privacy regulations, including GDPR (primary), CCPA, GLBA, and NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500.
- Familiarity with the FFIEC IT Examination Handbook.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, auto lending/leasing oversight, risk management, or regulatory roles.
- Experience interfacing with auditors, regulators, and legal teams.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- CRCM, CIA, CCSA, or JD certification.
- Knowledge of UCC, Right to Cure/Right to Redeem, and installment sales acts.
Responsibilities
Regulatory & Compliance Support
- Act as the FLoD Regulatory Compliance Subject Matter Expert.
- Provide guidance on compliance requirements related to privacy laws, regulations, and policies.
- Assess business practices, processes, and decisions for compliance risks.
Risk & Control Activities
- Support and challenge RCSA activities.
- Perform risk-based reviews of control design and control execution.
- Identify compliance gaps and opportunities for control improvements.
Testing, Monitoring & Issue Management
- Review outcomes of FLoD monitoring/testing.
- Monitor regulatory issues, escalations, remediation progress, and closure of compliance concerns.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Line of Business teams, compliance teams, and stakeholders to support risk mitigation efforts.
- Provide insights on regulatory changes and emerging privacy trends.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare findings and recommendations for management.
- Stay current on regulatory developments affecting privacy compliance.
Work Environment & Benefits
This is a 100% remote, contract-to-hire position based out of Boston, MA, offering a fast-paced environment within a growing U.S. bank. The anticipated pay range is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
