The Role: Consulting Architect

As a Consulting Architect on Tecton's professional services team, you will provide essential technical and consultancy expertise to customers, ensuring on-time implementation of Tecton and achievement of their desired outcomes. You will work closely with clients in an advisory and/or hands-on capacity to successfully deploy Tecton and build features, enabling their high-impact AI/ML use-cases.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Delivery/Engagement Managers, pre-sales, and Account teams to thoroughly understand customer needs, business requirements, and objectives.
• Design, architect, and implement Tecton solutions destined for successful production deployment.
• Contribute to creating detailed project plans, including steps and timelines, providing internal and external visibility into project status.
• Drive efficient consensus on technical decisions while keeping project timelines and scope-of-work on track.
• Act as a product expert, making significant contributions back to the business through customer insights and influencing potential product improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a technical sales or consulting capacity with enterprises, focusing on complex solution sales of mission-critical data systems (databases, data warehouses, big data systems, analytics, and/or machine learning).
• Deep technical understanding of data engineering and AI/ML tooling, workflows, and trends in an enterprise setting.
• Proficiency in Python, Spark, and/or SQL with demonstrated experience developing ETL applications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, coupled with comfort in objection handling.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and other major cloud providers.
• Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake is a significant advantage.
