Role Overview: Sr. AI Observability Engineer
The Sr. AI Observability Engineer role focuses on leading the observability strategy for Tealium’s AI/ML systems. You will blend advanced engineering with a robust understanding of AI/ML lifecycles to ensure visibility, reliability, and ethical use of AI models across various products and platforms.
Your Day To Day
- Design and implement end-to-end observability for AI/ML features.
- Instrument Tealium products for metrics like latency, accuracy, and drift.
- Monitor third-party AI services and manage cost tracking and failover strategies.
- Build telemetry pipelines and establish dashboards using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate quality SLIs/SLOs and drive ethical AI practices.
What You Bring
You should have over 6 years of experience in SRE, Observability Engineering, or ML Ops with a focus on production-grade AI/ML. Key technical skills include instrumenting AI pipelines, familiarity with tools such as OpenTelemetry and Datadog, hands-on coding in Python or Go, and a strong understanding of AI ethical practices, cost optimization, and infrastructure as code.
Benefits and Compensation
This full-time role offers a base salary range of $165,000 to $200,000 plus variable components. Benefits include annual bonuses, stock options, comprehensive health coverage, 401k with matching, flexible work time, paid volunteer time, and extensive professional development opportunities.
