Web Producer at TD
The Web Development Team, part of the Public Sites & Tools department at TD, is responsible for working on and publishing over 3000 content requests annually across key public websites, including TD Canada Trust, TD Bank, TD Wealth and Direct Investing, TD Insurance, MBNA, and TD Corporate. This team comprises over 40 members across Canada and offshore.
Job Description
Reporting to the Web Production Manager, the experienced Web Producer will be instrumental in supporting strategic initiatives within the Digital Content Management Platform. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in front-end web development and design, specifically for public-facing websites.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop web components and content that function flawlessly across multiple browsers and form factors.
- Apply defined development standards and content management best practices, including code and content reusability, extensibility, maintainability, and adherence to coding conventions.
- Execute unit and integration testing on all deliverables to ensure quality and functionality.
- Analyze and implement functional business requirements and technical design specifications.
- Proactively provide technical recommendations and solutions aligned with both business and technical strategies.
- Collaborate and interact directly with design, business, and technology partners.
- Work extensively within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for content management.
- Collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore development teams and business partners.
Must Have Skills
- 3+ years of experience in website development, with a strong focus on front-end technologies in the public online space.
- 3+ years of experience with HTML, CSS/CSS Grid frameworks, and responsive design principles.
- 3+ years of experience working within a large-scale enterprise environment, preferably within the financial sector.
- 3+ years of experience with multi-platform delivery strategies (desktop, mobile, tablet).
- Proficiency in resolving cross-browser issues effectively.
- Ability to understand and consistently apply online accessibility standards.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices to optimize web content.
- Experience with templating engines or robust web content management systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, switch priorities, and adapt focus as needed in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within an integrated team environment.
- Detail-oriented individual with the capacity to view projects holistically.
- Data-driven, strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks for project delivery.
- Well-versed in JIRA and Confluence platforms for team collaboration and documentation.
