Pay Details: $48,000 - $68,000 CAD

What You'll Do as an Investment Management Intern/Co-op
A passion or demonstrated interest in markets/economics/current events is critical to success: The Intern will support the team with some or all of the following activities.
- Work with one of the following teams within TDAM - Fundamental Equities Research, Fixed Income or Asset Liability Management, Asset Allocation, Alternatives, or Investment Risk Management.
- Build and maintain analytics to help facilitate portfolio decision making, data analysis or financial analysis to help understand and recommend investments or to better understand the macro-economic environment.
- Help run and support mission critical reporting used by the portfolio managers and attend and participate in team meetings and investment discussions.
- Validate data to ensure the integrity of the data and information.
- Support projects focused on the ongoing improvement of our processes.
- Undertake projects touching on strategy, marketing, business and product development, portfolio management, finance, risk, governance, client service, operations and trading.
Skills & Qualifications
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain attention to detail.
- Good foundation in business acumen, capital markets, problem solving skills and analytical capabilities.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
- Strong verbal and written presentation skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
- Highly motivated individual with the willingness and flexibility to take on different initiatives.
- Ability to operate within specialty software programs (e.g. Bloomberg, Factset, Thomson Reuters or Capital IQ etc.).
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across teams to research fulsome solutions.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
Good To Have
- Microsoft Access, Python/SQL/Coding skills, financial modelling.
- VBA and SQL.
- Co-op experience in investment research, real estate, public and private securities analysis, risk management.
