Job Summary

The Regional Advice and Sales Director is responsible for driving advice behaviors and sales performance tactics through the execution of TD's signature sales, advice, and customer experience program. This role aims to achieve tangible benefits for shareholders, customers, and employees, with success measured by scorecard results in sales and customer experience metrics, as well as adherence to sales and advice program behaviors. The position incorporates elements of strategy, coaching, training, influence, execution, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Aligns to specific geographies, serving as the primary liaison between assigned regions, product, and distribution partners.
  • Oversees the deployment, adoption, and execution of the advice, sales, and customer experience program within the Region.
  • Provides ongoing insight and executive-level thought leadership to senior retail leaders to enhance sales and advice behaviors and metrics.
  • Acts as a conduit for key enterprise initiatives, offering strategic insight from project development to successful field adoption, while supporting senior retail leaders consultatively.
  • Strategically drives advice behaviors, KPIs, and performance outcomes within the assigned region.
  • Develops and implements tactics to ensure all training is completed, behaviors are executed, and results are achieved.
  • Influences adoption and execution in the field, as well as necessary program improvements to drive behavioral results and performance outcomes, effectively in person and remotely.
  • Provides consistent leadership, fostering a culture of ongoing feedback, performance accountability, and development.
  • Spends approximately 40% of time in the field working with Store Managers, 40% coaching leaders virtually, and 20% on learning and knowledge activities.
  • Contributes to building, modifying, and delivering learning/training, including the BeLegendary program, and ensures high learning completion rates.
  • Responsible for change management, field engagement, education, upskilling, and sustained executional excellence.
  • Leads, drives, and develops programs to positively impact customer and employee experience, often consulting as a Subject Matter Expert.
  • Evaluates performance analytics, identifies scorecard gaps, pinpoints root causes related to critical behaviors, shares insights, and drives necessary changes.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of related experience required.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in sales, operations, or customer experience.
  • Strong leadership competencies including collaboration, flexibility, influence, innovation, creativity, integrity, and passion.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Ability to negotiate, manage relationships, and influence across business lines.
  • Credibility and ability to instill followership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated sales administration and management ability.
  • Consumer lending experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of store operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Proven analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to craft professional presentations and reports.
  • Previous sales and business development experience is essential.
  • Extensive regional travel required.

Physical Requirements

This role involves continuous sedentary work, continuous multiple tasking, and continuous operation of standard office equipment. Frequent domestic travel is required. Occasional activities include responding quickly to sounds, standing, walking, moving safely in confined spaces, lifting/carrying (under 25 lbs.), squatting, bending, and reaching forward. Continuous concentration for long periods, applying common sense to problems, and reading, writing, comprehending instructions, and performing basic arithmetic are also required.
