Overview

The Product Owner I - Fulfillment and Operational Excellence at TD is responsible for ensuring that a development team creates value through the delivery of customer-focused product increments. The role involves aligning with other Product Owners and senior management to follow a product vision, managing and prioritizing the product backlog, and continuously improving the delivery process.

Customer Focus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with management to support product vision delivery
  • Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog
  • Continuously align with senior management on roadmap and release cadence
  • Review performance analytics to enhance customer experience
  • Participate in scrum or Kanban events and address delivery blockers
  • Manage defect prioritization and user story acceptance

Shareholder Engagement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to enterprise frameworks and maintain strategic alignment
  • Engage stakeholders for input and manage backlog priorities
  • Monitor regulatory environment and coordinate risk and quality management
  • Serve as the single point of escalation for the development team

Breadth & Depth

This position requires extensive knowledge in Agile/Scrum processes, product delivery, risk management, and strategic alignment with business objectives. The role demands sophisticated analytical skills to solve complex problems and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Experience and Education

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree or product certification, over 7 years of relevant experience, at least 3 years in a Product Owner or Agile delivery role, and preferably certifications such as CSPO or SAFe.
