Job Description
We are seeking an individual to join our team, focusing on the development and implementation of policies, programs, and tools related to TD Technology Controls and Information Security. In this role, you will provide specialized expertise and guidance in assessing risks, identifying potential gaps, and delivering security solutions to mitigate risks and protect TD. This position leverages data analytics and reporting as a defense strategy to safeguard the organization. You will participate in projects of moderate to high complexity and develop data pipelines to Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data necessary for security risk reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and advise partners on a broad range of specific Technology Controls and Information Security programs, policies, standards, and incidents.
- Assist in building and monitoring core ETLs and data pipelines to facilitate recurrent or ad hoc data ingestion.
- Collaborate with technology and business teams to gather data requirements and specifications for reporting development.
- Develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and ad hoc SQL queries to retrieve data for metric generation.
- Actively contribute to the definition, development, and oversight of a global security management strategy and framework.
- Develop ongoing technology risk reporting, monitor key trends, and define metrics to measure control effectiveness.
- Apply a teamwork philosophy with technology partners, service, or platform owners to integrate all technology security components and address control gaps.
- Consult on regulatory compliance requirements, reporting, and questions.
- Provide support and consulting for Audits, assisting in composing management responses and appropriate remediation activities.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, technology control standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Contribute to internal activity and process review, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Adhere to, advise, oversee, monitor, and enforce enterprise frameworks and methodologies related to technology controls / information security activities.
- Influence behavior to reduce risk and foster a strong technology risk management culture.
- Define, develop, implement, and manage standards, policies, procedures, and solutions that mitigate risk and maximize security, service availability, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Manage relationships with other technology, business, corporate, and control functions.
- Assess, identify, and escalate issues appropriately.
Job Requirements
We value relevant experience and knowledge as much as credentials. It helps if you have:
- A University Degree.
- Information Security Certification / Accreditation is considered an asset.
- 5-7 years of relevant security risk management and data analytics experience.
- A mix of skills in Big Data technologies (e.g., Databricks), database management, and Python programming.
- Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Sound to advanced knowledge of business, technology controls, security, and risk issues.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in projects of moderate to high complexity.
- A firm commitment to staying informed and abreast of emerging issues and industry trends.
