Overview
The Group Manager, Operations at TD leads a team of Operational Analysts within the Global Equity Derivatives Structured Notes business unit in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This role focuses on delivering high-quality operational support, coaching team members, and driving operational excellence in a complex and risk-sensitive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Focus: Lead the team in delivering operational support, engage stakeholders, resolve complex issues, and foster client-centric teamwork.
- Deliver high-quality support to business areas.
- Anticipate and address business changes.
- Act as escalation point for risks and complex issues.
- Provide frontline feedback to improve processes.
- Negotiate and resolve escalated matters.
Shareholder Focus: Identify operational improvements, coordinate system upgrades, and support change management while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Drive system enhancements and process improvements.
- Conduct root cause analyses and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with Operations, Technology, Finance, and Risk.
- Maintain enterprise frameworks like AML and BCM.
Employee & Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance, set clear performance objectives, and promote an inclusive culture through coaching and performance evaluations.
- Recruit and develop a diverse workforce.
- Set performance goals and provide regular feedback.
- Create an engaging work environment.
- Encourage open communication and collaboration.
Breadth & Depth: Handle full people management responsibilities and resolve complex, risk-sensitive issues while reporting to a Senior Manager.
Experience & Education
Undergraduate degree or college diploma preferred. Candidates should have 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a people leadership role.
