Your Summer as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst
You will be assigned to the Vancouver coverage group, gaining hands-on experience in mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and equity capital markets (ECM) transactions across various industries. You will work under the overall direction of a senior officer within a team of experienced professionals, contributing to idea generation, client advisory, and transaction execution.
How You Will Contribute
- Research and analyze clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and M&A opportunities.
- Develop comprehensive valuation models for individual private and public companies, as well as merged entities.
- Apply various valuation tools to assess investment and strategic opportunities.
- Assist with client negotiations and prepare essential documentation.
- Prepare external client proposals and internal underwriting memos.
- Create compelling client presentations based on your research and analysis.
Qualifications
To be considered for the 2027 Investment Banking Summer Analyst role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Graduating in December 2027 or spring/summer 2028 with an undergraduate degree.
- Possess a combination of strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid foundation in finance or mathematics.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proven leadership experience, evidenced through sports, clubs, extracurricular activities, or philanthropy.
