About the DevOps Engineer Role at Tata Consultancy Services
Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS cloud services and infrastructure. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments. You will leverage your expertise in containerization, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and automation to streamline operations and ensure high availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Route 53, ELB, and EKS/ECS.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, and Terraform.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with tools like AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions.
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and application deployments for reliability and scalability.
- Implement container orchestration and management using Docker and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).
- Utilize GitOps workflows with ArgoCD or FluxCD for continuous delivery.
- Write automation scripts in Python, Bash, and Shell to streamline operational tasks.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications using CloudWatch and CloudTrail, ensuring security and compliance.
- Collaborate effectively with development, QA, and security teams for smooth cloud operations.
- Optimize cloud costs and performance while upholding high availability and security standards.
- Stay updated on the latest cloud technologies and best practices.
Required Technical/Functional Skills
- Proven experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools: CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Shell.
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or FluxCD.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
- Good understanding of cloud security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Good to Have Skills
- Experience with Databricks, Spark, Databricks Lake Flow, Unity Catalog, Alation integration.
- Knowledge of Snowflake or other cloud data platforms.
- Familiarity with data sharing and governance in cloud environments.
