Original Job Summary

Job Purpose

The role of Vice President - Decarbonisation Fund involves leading critical aspects of the investment lifecycle for the fund, with a focus on sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing investments in low-carbon transition sectors. The role is strategic in shaping investment themes, portfolio value creation and engaging with external stakeholders.

Main Accountabilities

  • Investment Leadership: Lead complex transaction evaluation and execution in clean energy, climate tech, low-emission manufacturing, and sustainable infrastructure.
  • Strategic Deal Sourcing: Build and manage networks to source proprietary, high-quality opportunities.
  • Thesis & Sector Development: Develop fund investment theses, conduct in-depth sector research, and create differentiated insights.
  • Transaction Management: Oversee due diligence, negotiate term sheets, manage financial/technical modeling and third-party advisors.
  • Portfolio Strategy & Oversight: Collaborate with portfolio companies to drive strategic initiatives, monitor KPIs, and enhance governance.
  • Exit Execution: Develop exit strategies, market timing, and investor materials coordination with investment banks.
  • Team Mentoring: Coach team members in transaction execution, modeling, and sector analysis.
  • Investor Communication: Engage with Limited Partners through reporting, information requests, and fundraising support.
  • Risk Management: Proactively address commercial, financial, and operational investment risks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with industry leaders, promoters, policy experts, and ecosystem players.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and enhance internal investment processes and decision-making protocols.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. MBA and/or CFA highly preferred.
