TaskUs is seeking a skilled freelance writer to create clear and comprehensive annotation guidelines for AI data-labeling projects. As a Part-time Annotation Guidelines Writer, you will work independently to produce decision-safe instructions and ensure high quality, consistent labels across annotator teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and author detailed, versioned guidelines covering project purpose and label definitions.
- Create structured resources such as decision trees, visual examples, and FAQs.
- Develop and implement step-by-step annotation rules and escalation protocols.
- Collaborate with global teams to understand goals and common pitfalls.
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback and maintain a lightweight change-management system.
What We're Looking For
We require proven experience in writing detailed annotation or content-policy guidelines for machine learning projects, exceptional communication skills, collaborative abilities with subject matter experts, and platform awareness (e.g., Labelbox, Dataloop). Excellent writing skills and independence in handling projects are crucial.
