About the Software Engineer Data Science Full-Stack Role

Taskify is seeking a skilled Software Engineer with a full-stack data perspective to join our dynamic Data team. In this critical role, you will build and maintain robust data pipelines powering Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams. Your work will ensure data reliability, availability, and timeliness across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines from diverse sources like MongoDB, Airtable, and PostHog.
  • Design and implement dbt models and transformations to standardize complex datasets.
  • Build fault-tolerant data workflows using tools such as Fivetran, dbt, SQL, and Python.
  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and availability.
  • Own data quality and reliability from ingestion through consumption.
  • Continuously monitor, improve pipeline performance, and ensure scalability.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven expertise in data engineering with strong SQL, Python, and modern data tools.
  • Experience designing and maintaining large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance, monitoring, and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams.
  • Bonus: Experience in supporting machine learning workflows or analytics platforms.
