As a Video Editing Expert, you will create professional video content and meticulously document your complete editing workflows. This role demands showcasing your full post-production process, from initial raw footage to final delivery, for a variety of projects.

This is a flexible hourly contract position, operating globally and remotely, allowing you to work independently within a structured weekly workflow example of 15 hours.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Video Editing: Execute complete video projects using industry-standard editing software, covering all stages from raw footage import through final export and delivery.
• Workflow Documentation: Clearly articulate editing decisions, sequencing choices, and problem-solving techniques through comprehensive written and verbal explanations.
• Asset Organization: Efficiently organize, label, and manage raw footage, audio tracks, graphics, and exported files to ensure seamless team handoff and robust archiving.
• Narrative & Pacing: Apply your timing expertise to structure compelling video stories, ensuring optimal visual flow, smooth transitions, and high audience engagement.
• Quality Refinement: Refine rough cuts, optimize transitions, perform color grading, and resolve technical and creative challenges to achieve consistently professional results.

Required Skills

• Proven professional video editing experience with a track record of complete project delivery.
• Proficiency with leading video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or similar tools.
• Strong narrative timing and visual storytelling capabilities.
• Expertise in asset management and file organization.
• Excellent written communication skills, particularly for explaining creative processes.
• Comfort working effectively and independently in a remote environment.
