Our client, in partnership with a leading AI research lab, is seeking a Software Engineer, AI Consulting to engage experienced management consulting professionals on a project basis. In this fully remote role, you will be crucial in translating real-world consulting workflows into structured tasks, datasets, and evaluation criteria, significantly enhancing the reasoning and problem-solving capabilities of advanced AI systems. Key Responsibilities

• Break down complex end-to-end consulting workflows (from problem structuring to analysis and synthesis) into clear task specifications and robust evaluation rubrics.
• Review, meticulously edit, and benchmark AI-generated outputs, including market analyses, strategic recommendations, operating models, and executive summaries, ensuring professional standards.
• Develop high-quality reference examples, such as issue trees, analytical models, and slide outlines, that exemplify professional consulting standards.
• Identify logical gaps, unsupported assumptions, and weak reasoning within AI outputs, thoroughly documenting failure patterns and providing precise improvement guidance.
• Collaborate asynchronously with researchers and fellow contributors, utilizing structured documentation and clear written feedback to drive project success.

Ideal Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm or a reputable boutique consultancy.
• Demonstrated strong understanding of hypothesis-driven problem solving and executive-level synthesis.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Proven experience with market sizing, comprehensive financial/operating analysis, and rigorous qualitative research.
• Exceptional written communication and structured thinking skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and consistently meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
