Role Overview: Research Assistant at Taskify AI

Taskify AI is seeking a highly skilled Research Assistant to partner with a leading AI research team on a large-scale supervised fine-tuning (SFT) initiative. This project aims to significantly improve how advanced language models respond to real-world questions. We are looking for strong writers and critical thinkers to join as independent contractors on a flexible, project-based basis. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about applied AI research who also value control over their work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Create realistic prompts that accurately reflect natural human questioning across a variety of general topics.
• Review and meticulously edit AI-generated responses to ensure clarity, accuracy, and overall usefulness.
• Write high-quality human-authored responses for selected prompts, setting a benchmark for model performance.
• Generate small, nuanced variations of prompts to thoroughly test subtle differences in model behavior and understanding.
• Evaluate AI responses across varying lengths, tones, and instructional styles.
• Identify ambiguities, weaknesses, or potential failure cases within model outputs to aid in improvement.

Ideal Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student, or a recent graduate from a relevant field.
• Demonstrated strong written communication and critical thinking skills.
• Proven ability to synthesize complex information clearly and accurately.
• High attention to detail, particularly when comparing similar written responses.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.

Engagement Details

• This is a fully remote and asynchronous role, allowing you to work on your own schedule.
• Expected commitment ranges approximately from 10 to 40 hours per week.
• Engagement is project-based with strong potential for extension based on ongoing project needs.
• Work is performed strictly on an independent contractor basis.

Compensation & Contract Terms

Compensation is competitive, ranging from $35 to $45 per hour, based on your experience and performance. This is an independent contractor classification.
