Open Source Applied Engineer at Taskify AI
One of Taskify AI's clients is actively seeking an exceptional Open Source Applied Engineer with profound expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, C, JavaScript, or TypeScript. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate on high-impact, globally distributed engineering projects.
This position is ideally suited for engineers who possess strong programming fundamentals and can demonstrate an active track record of significant contributions to established open-source repositories. You will play a crucial role in designing and evaluating coding systems across multiple languages, directly contributing to both research and engineering enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop structured evaluation frameworks for coding tasks across JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, and C.
- Create comprehensive test cases to assess system performance across varied engineering scenarios.
- Analyze system behavior against real-world use cases to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
- Document and communicate findings clearly to support ongoing system optimization.
- Contribute insights into performance, architecture, and code quality best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated open-source contributions within the past 12 months (GitHub or equivalent platforms).
- Strong expertise in at least one of the following: Python, Java, C, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Deep familiarity with commonly used libraries, frameworks, and tooling ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience collaborating in distributed, asynchronous engineering environments.
- Ability to work independently and proactively identify improvement opportunities.
