Role Overview
One of our clients, Taskify AI, is seeking an exceptional Open Source Applied Engineer with deep expertise in Python, Java, C, JavaScript, or TypeScript to collaborate on high-impact, globally distributed engineering projects.
This role is ideal for engineers who demonstrate strong programming fundamentals and have an active track record of meaningful contributions to established open-source repositories. You will help design and evaluate coding systems across multiple languages, contributing to research and engineering improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop structured evaluation frameworks for coding tasks across JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, and C
- Create comprehensive test cases to assess system performance across varied engineering scenarios
- Analyze system behavior against real-world use cases to identify strengths and areas for improvement
- Document and communicate findings clearly to support ongoing system optimization
- Contribute insights into performance, architecture, and code quality best practices
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated open-source contributions within the past 12 months (GitHub or equivalent platforms)
- Strong expertise in at least one of the following: Python, Java, C, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Deep familiarity with commonly used libraries, frameworks, and tooling ecosystems
- Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, and performance optimization
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD workflows
- Experience collaborating in distributed, asynchronous engineering environments
- Ability to work independently and proactively identify improvement opportunities
