Job Overview

Tarlton Corporation is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at the Generic Location facility. This role is crucial for the timely and successful completion of various construction projects.

Major Goals and Purpose

The primary goal for the Carpenter is to ensure the efficient and high-quality completion of diverse construction tasks, adhering to safety and production standards.

Essential Activities

• Construct form-work for placement of concrete.
• Erect temporary handrails and associated safety related items.
• Layout, measure, and mark materials accurately.
• Perform sawing, cutting, drilling, stripping, nailing, burning, measuring, and tightening/loosening bolts.
• Undertake additional activities such as hanging doors and framing.
• Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines.
• Apply problem-solving skills to address on-site issues effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project needs.

Required Qualifications

PREREQUISITES (i.e., Education, Experience)

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current member of the Carpenters Union.
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to the work schedule.
• Possession of an OSHA 10-hour card.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, and production standards.

Work Environment and Physical Effort

The worker must be able to stand and walk for long periods; use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects. This role requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing 50 pounds, climb up and down ladders, scaffolding, and other objects. Candidates must also be able to carry tools and equipment, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, dig, and possess adequate sight and hearing capabilities. This position is exempt.
