About Blue Health
Blue Health builds healthcare technology and select complementary products that make a real difference. We move fast, learn continuously, and care deeply about the people who use our products and the teammates who build them.
The Opportunity
As an AI Automation Engineer, you will partner closely with our clinical team to understand real-world workflows and eliminate manual, error-prone steps. You will design, ship, and maintain pragmatic automations using the best tool for the job – whether RPA, scripts, APIs, or lightweight AI assistants – while prioritizing reliability, security, and ROI.
What You'll Do
- Map pain points: Interview clinical and ops stakeholders to identify high impact, automatable workflows and create simple process maps.
- Ship automations fast: Build, test, and deploy automations using your preferred stack (RPA, Python/JavaScript scripts, API integrations).
- Integrate tools: Connect and orchestrate workflows across Airtable, Jira, OpenPhone, and email (IMAP/SMTP) using APIs and webhooks.
- AI enablement: Apply LLMs and AI utilities for summarization, routing, classification, and document parsing with appropriate guardrails.
- Monitor & iterate: Implement logging, alerting, retries, and SLOs while refining flows based on stakeholder feedback.
- Document & train: Create concise SOPs and walkthroughs for safe, self-service by nontechnical teammates.
- Track ROI: Quantify time savings, cycle reductions, error improvements, and overall value of automations.
- Security & compliance: Follow best practices including least privilege access, secret management, and auditability, aligning with HIPAA/SOC 2.
Systems You'll Work With
Airtable, Jira, OpenPhone, and Email systems are integral to the workflows.
