Quality Control Technician

The Quality Control (QC) Technician ensures products meet company and industry quality standards through testing, inspection, and documentation. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives and maintains compliance with safety and quality policies, ensuring production output meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Job Summary

Work a 10-hour shift from Monday to Thursday (3:30pm - 2:00AM) conducting inspections, testing, and documentation to maintain high product quality.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
  • Record and analyze test results; report deviations or non-conformances.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using calibrated tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation including logs, test reports, and certifications.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Calibrate and maintain testing equipment according to company standards.
  • Support root cause analysis and problem-solving for quality issues.
  • Monitor compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Follow all safety procedures to contribute to a safe work environment.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities: Proficiency in technical drawings, part numbers, and specifications; strong understanding of quality control principles; skilled in using measurement tools; familiarity with statistical quality control; basic computer skills with Microsoft Office; attention to detail; excellent communication; ability to work independently and in teams; knowledge of ISO 9001 is a plus; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Education and Experience: Must be legally entitled to work in the US; high school diploma or GED; 2+ years in a manufacturing or quality control environment; experience with testing equipment; quality certification (CQI, Six Sigma) is advantageous.

Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sit or stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
