About the Role: IT Support Specialist
As an IT Support Specialist at Tandems, you will be the first line of defense for technical issues across our global offices. Your role includes providing timely, knowledgeable, and empathetic support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, onboarding new hires, and maintaining system security.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with People Team for employee onboarding and device setup.
- Provide daily IT support including troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Resolve issues with applications such as OKTA, Zoom, Slack, JIRA, Confluence, and VPN.
- Enforce endpoint security, MFA, patching and monitor security alerts with InfoSec.
- Manage vendor relationships for IT and security tooling.
- Support compliance activities and educate employees on security hygiene.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of IT support and customer service experience, a degree in Computer Engineering (or related certifications such as CompTIA, Security+), strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with Mac environments and workplace applications. You should be patient, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities, with a strong focus on customer service and security compliance.
