About the Role

The Project Manager oversees the full lifecycle of Tier 1–3 Technology Support Services for a federal government customer, coordinating internal teams, external vendors, and contractors. The role focuses on day-to-day operations, staffing, escalation management, and ensuring optimal IT support delivery across local, state, and national offices.

This hybrid remote position is based in Washington, D.C. with onsite visits and an estimated 25% annual travel within the U.S. It is contingent on contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Program Oversight & Staff Management: Manage Tier 1–3 support staff and contractors.
  • Operational Management: Supervise Help Desk operations providing phone, chat, remote, and on-site support.
  • Process & Methodology: Implement ITIL and Agile practices; coordinate with vendors using tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Power BI.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for executive-level IT support concerns.
  • Compliance & Security: Adhere to federal IT security policies and compliance standards.

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of project/program management experience supporting IT help desks or enterprise IT operations. Must be experienced in managing multi-tiered IT support teams in a 24/7/365 environment. Proficiency in ITIL, Agile, and service desk best practices is required. Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, PowerShell, Power BI, AirWatch, Intune, Jamf, and BigFix is essential. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required; a Master's and PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.

Physical & Additional Requirements

Candidates must reside in or near Washington, D.C., and be willing to travel up to 25% across the U.S. Ability to pass required Federal background screening and obtain necessary clearances is mandatory.

Pay Range & Benefits

The projected salary range for this position is approximately $118,278 – $194,876 USD. Benefits for full-time employees include healthcare, life insurance, 401(k) and more.
