What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Simulate pilot actions and communications in an air traffic controller training simulator.
  • Operate radar displays and voice communication systems during training exercises.
  • Respond to voice commands from students using appropriate ATC terminology.
  • Complete required certifications for classroom and lab performance as a Remote Pilot Operator.
  • Collaborate with multimedia developers and subject matter experts.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to read diagrams and manuals.
  • Clear and understandable verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary team setting is preferred.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience and certification in ATC Tower, TRACON, or En Route simulation lab.
  • Working knowledge of FAAO JO 7110.65.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Familiarity with current technological tools (tablets, notebooks, applications).
  • Basic experience with pilot/controller communications or phraseology.
