About the Role: Patient Access Specialist
Talentify.io is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Specialist for an exceptional opportunity within the Healthcare Services industry. This role focuses on ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient access to healthcare services, offering a chance for career advancement and impactful work.
What You'll Be Doing (Job Responsibilities)
- Schedule appointment requests and manage outbound calls to arrange Epic referrals efficiently.
- Clearly communicate insurance participation, financial responsibilities, and time-of-service policies to patients.
- Accurately obtain and register patients' insurance and demographic information within the EPIC system.
- Perform real-time insurance verification and collect necessary pre-registration details.
- Facilitate team discussions for complex patient scheduling needs and expertly handle escalated cases to resolution.
What You'll Need (Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, demonstrating proficiency in medical terminology and scheduling workflows.
- Excellent customer service, strong problem assessment abilities, and outstanding verbal/written communication skills.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word & Excel) or similar software.
- Prior high-volume customer service experience in a call center environment is preferred.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- An Associate's Degree or higher is a significant advantage.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse patient base.
