What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Review digital documents for Section 508 compliance using automated and manual methods.
- Remediate documents; address tagging, alt text, and structural issues.
- Conduct web accessibility testing on pages and applications per Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 AA standards.
- Prepare evaluation reports documenting findings and remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with content creators and developers for best accessibility practices.
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- DHS Trusted Tester certification (v5.0 or higher).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Section 508 compliance testing and document remediation.
- Expert-level proficiency with evaluation tools like ANDI, Axe, and WAVE.
- Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail and time management.
