What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
The key responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain structured documentation for complex technology systems
- Collaborate with the ILS team to produce user manuals, operations manuals, and quick reference guides
- Ensure all documentation complies with DoD, FAA standards, and other regulatory requirements
- Utilize template design software to create documents in MS Word and PDF formats
- Engage in document control processes to ensure accuracy and consistency
What Is Required (Qualifications)
Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in technical writing, proficiency in document control along with DoD and FAA compliance, and experience with Integrated Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and Arbortext. A BA/BS degree in writing, information design, or communication is required. Familiarity with military/DoD standards and structured document creation is essential.
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Preferred candidates will have experience with MadCap Flare and HTML template writing as well as familiarity with DoD, Aerospace, or FAA programs.
