About the Role
The Centralized Scheduler role at Centralized Scheduler is responsible for scheduling, canceling, rescheduling, and registering outpatient visits and procedures for multiple ambulatory clinics. The position involves collecting necessary information to prepare schedules and registrations.
Core Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Obtain and verify patient guarantor information annually.
- Generate and verify referrals or authorizations as needed.
- Schedule and register patients based on guidelines and appropriateness.
- Collect necessary patient/customer information for appointments.
- Notify relevant personnel about scheduling modifications.
- Communicate and respond to patient and staff needs and complaints.
- Consult with referring physician’s office for written/electronic orders.
- Ensure completeness of written orders and documentation.
- Complete Workques and daily tasks efficiently.
- Respond to all patient communications and escalate urgent matters.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent, state criminal background check and federal clearances where applicable.
Skills and Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working Environment
Standard office environment with accommodations for disabilities. Ability to sit for extended periods.
