What to Expect from the Traineeship Hypotheken
The Traineeship Hypotheken is structured around key components designed to provide a comprehensive and immersive learning experience:
- You'll join the best onboarding program in the Netherlands, with monthly start opportunities. For example, you could start on March 6, March 23, or April 3, 2026.
- You will be deployed at various leading banking clients, including ABN AMRO, Rabobank, ASN Bank, ING, and Nationale-Nederlanden.
- Benefit from continuous professional education and skill training, such as Wft certifications, a Masterclass in the Mortgage Industry, and guidance on managing your own development.
Diverse Assignments within the Hypotheken Traineeship
As a trainee, you will initially start as a mortgage acceptor. In this role, you will evaluate mortgage applications, analyze risks, and determine the conditions under which a mortgage can be granted. Career progression includes:
- Acceptor Business Income: Handle complex applications from entrepreneurs and develop custom solutions.
- Mortgage Advisor: Guide clients through the entire mortgage process, collaborating with lenders, real estate agents, and notaries.
By working on real client files, you will gain insight into diverse financial situations, learn to navigate laws and regulations, and quickly build the knowledge necessary for growth in the sector.
Growth Through Education, Experience, and Coaching
Your development journey is divided into distinct phases:
- Talent Phase: Familiarize yourself with various aspects of the mortgage profession. Achieve your Wft certifications and attend training sessions like the Masterclass Hypotheekindustrie. Simultaneously, you will enhance skills in Agile working, Lean Six Sigma, and professional communication techniques. Your People Manager will provide guidance in developing both your professional and personal competencies.
- Pro Phase: Take on increased responsibility, working on more complex client files, providing independent advice, and building strong client relationships. You will develop expertise to grow into roles suchs as mortgage specialist, mortgage advisor, or acceptor for business income. The mortgage sector offers a future-proof career with ample opportunities for broad and deep professional development.
Who We Are Looking For
We seek ambitious individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Hold a hbo or wo diploma, or are in the final phase of your study. If you have an mbo 4 or Associate degree, you are also welcome after successfully completing a capacity test (check the specific vacancy for associated employment conditions).
- Available for 32-40 hours per week.
- A starter in the job market, focused on both professional and personal development.
- Communicatively skilled, service-oriented, and assertive.
- Flexible and enthusiastic about secondment (detachering). Willingness to travel to the Randstad region, despite the option for hybrid work.
