The Cyber Threat Intelligence Engineer will play a critical role in USAA's Cyber Threat Operation Center by operating and maintaining the cyber threat intelligence infrastructure and malware analysis capabilities.

The Opportunity

This role involves designing, developing, integrating, and testing complex solutions with a security focus. Key responsibilities include mentoring junior engineers, troubleshooting complex systems, and actively participating in both internal trainings and external professional events.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure security requirements are met in all solution lifecycles.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional technical solutions with a security focus.
  • Lead code/design reviews and foster engineering efficiencies.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot complex systems and integrations.
  • Advise on security architecture and support DevSecOps practices.

Requirements

Candidates must have a strong background in cloud engineering, cybersecurity, Linux systems administration, and Python programming. Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern cybersecurity practices is essential. A minimum of 6 years in security engineering or IT with a security focus is required.
